Beautiful beads of serpentine
The subgroup serpentines (part of the kaolinite-serpentine group) are greenish, brownish or mottled minerals commonly found in serpentinite rocks. They are used as a source of magnesium and as decorative stones. The name is thought to come from the greenish colour, resembling a snake.
